|
Project: Goodmans Fields – London Development Client: Berkeley Homes Ltd Landscape Architect: Fabrik UK Landscape Contractor: Scotscape Ltd Water Feature Contractor: Fairwater Ltd Description: A seven acre development in the heart of London, as seen in this promotional video. While working with Fairwater Ltd we provided the technical design for the Stage 1 courtyard garden. The public space consists of series of naturally filtered and planted pools set in a quadrant around the central lawn. Water is pumped through a series of biological filters; chutes and jets all at podium level, before returning to a basement plant room for testing and recirculation. We hope to begin the second stage very soon that includes a number of bronze mustangs galloping through shallow pools. Each hoof in contact with the water will have a jet simulating the impact of the horse’s hoof in the pool. This is effect can be seen at another similar feature in Texas called “The Mustangs of Las Colinas” |
